In the complex and often difficult arena of creditor’s rights law, Schweet Linde & Coulson, PLLC, founded and led by Laurin S. With over 25 years experience in bankruptcy law and debtor/creditor issues, and previous tenure as a partner at Foster, Pepper & Shefelman, where she was co-Chair of the firm’s Creditor’s Rights and Bankruptcy Practice Group, Laurin brings a refreshing practicality and client-focused direction to SLC.

Her visionary approach and ability to put herself in her client’s shoes has allowed her to develop long-term, satisfying client relationships that are the foundation of the firm. Candid, dedicated and accessible, Laurin places emphasis where it is needed most in Creditor’s Rights issues on the intricate details of law that create winning solutions for her clients, and on the quality of service that builds valued business relationships.

Laurin graduated cum laude from Seattle University School of Law in 1986. She was past chair of the King County Bar Association, Bankruptcy Section, and has served as the Western District representative for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court Eastern District Advisory Committee. Laurin is a contributing author to the Real Property Deskbook, Doing Business in Washington State, and other state and national publications, and is a frequent speaker and subject matter expert in creditor’s rights and bankruptcy law.

Laurin obtained her B.S. undergraduate degree from the University of Kentucky, where she was graduated With Distinction, and her J.D. degree from Seattle University, cum laude.
